The advance booking for Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film, "Jawan," has commenced with a bang. The film, directed by Atlee, is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 7, and the excitement is palpable, thanks to Shah Rukh Khan's star power and Atlee's reputation in the South Indian film industry.

The initial hour of advance booking has already set a staggering benchmark, indicating the immense buzz surrounding "Jawan."

Reports from box office tracker Cine Hub reveal that "Jawan" surpassed the entire advance booking of Akshay Kumar's "Selfiee" in just five minutes. Despite "Selfiee" having a modest advance booking figure of Rs 40 lakh, the fact that "Jawan" achieved this feat in mere minutes underscores its unprecedented craze. Cine Hub estimates that "Jawan" may sell a whopping 1 lakh tickets by the end of the first day of advance booking

Trade tracker Sacnilk reports that several single-screen cinemas in Bihar are already completely sold out for the film's first day, a remarkable six days before its release. This pace suggests that "Jawan" has the potential to break all-time records for Hindi films in terms of advance booking. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" set this record just seven months ago, with advance bookings worth Rs 32 crore and subsequently achieving the biggest opening for a Bollywood film.

"Jawan" marks Atlee's Bollywood debut, with Nayanthara entering the Hindi film industry. Notably, it boasts Tamil cinema heavyweights Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist and Anirudh Ravichander as the composer. This stellar ensemble hints at "Jawan" poised for success in both Hindi and South Indian markets, potentially surpassing "Pathaan."
